Changing lives that change the world.
Charis In Action
What We Do
Our primary focus is to identify, train, and develop pastors, Christian leaders, and potential leaders to lead or plant healthy, disciple-making churches. These Network pastors and churches are encouraged and trained to evaluate their communities to observe where the Kingdom of God is not being experienced. Our leaders identify primary spiritual, emotional, and/or physical needs where we can both share and demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ. Then, partner with local people and resources to create sustainable solutions. We Equip and Empower our leaders to change lives that change the world.
Equip
We know that God cares about all suffering and poverty, especially spiritual suffering and poverty. So, everything we do begins and extends through the church of Jesus Christ. We plant churches, educate pastors, and train disciples of Jesus to multiply.
We do this through:
Our Biblical and Theological School
Identifying new areas that do not have a Biblically healthy, disciple making church.
Training and Conferences
Empower
We desire to create opportunities for medical, educational, and economic sustainability and training in sound stewardship principles.
Medical – We have a clinic in an under-resourced village to care for issues of HIV/Aids, Malaria, Women’s Issues, and Children’s Issues.
Education – We are building an elementary school in a community where there is an absence of educational opportunities.
Stewardship – We create opportunities to address poverty and food insecurity.
Farming – We partner with Foundations For Farming. The FFF method for farming provides a system that produces healthier and more abundant crops. Our Farm champion also trains other people and places in the FFF method
We are an Alliance Partner with Crown Ministries that allows us access to teach and train all of their stewardship resources.
We also hope to create a skills training center: tailoring, carpentry, mechanic, etc.
Who We Are
Our Story
Todd and Kristi Stewart have been serving in ministry for over 30 years. In 2014 Charis in Action, Inc was launched in Knoxville, Tn to start and care about ministries in under-resourced communities locally and around the world. In 2019 Todd and Kristi Stewart moved to Zambia to serve as full time missionaries, and Charis in Action became focused in Africa. While living in Zambia the Lord opened opportunities to train and equip African pastors. Todd began training pastors in theological and leadership trainings to make disciples and plant healthy churches. Passionate like-minded pastors and leaders began to gather, think, and pray through culture, multiplication, and theological issues. During this time the Antioch Kingdom Network (AKN) was born. AKN is a group of pastors and churches that want to equip Christian leaders and multiply healthy churches to bring heaven to earth.
